As the publishing year comes to a close we here at Arthur approach our Spring Elections! It is at this time that our Staff Collective vote in three Staff Collective Directors for our Board and the Editors for the upcoming Volume 58.

This year Arthur’s Spring Election will take place on April 23rd, 2023 at 3:00 PM in the Sadleir House Lecture Hall. The opportunity to join virtually will also be available.

The Staff Collective is made up of anyone who has contributed to the production of at least 15% of the issues of Arthur in a year. The Staff Collective includes both paid and volunteer staff. For this volume this includes anyone who has written at least four articles (not including letters) or contributed to four print editions. Members of the Staff Collective are able to run and vote in the Spring Elections.

This year, the following individuals are members of the Staff Collective:

Abbigale Kernya

Alyssa Triano

Angela Slater-Meadows

Bethan Bates

Bethanie Dusome

Danny Taro

David King

Evan Robins

Irene Suvillaga

Madeleine Fortin

Madison Marvin

Ngoc Bui

Owen Harrison

Robert Gibson

Sebastian Johnston-Lindsay

Tru Van Wyck

Each year, Editors are elected by the Staff Collective to run the paper for the upcoming year. Editors make decisions on how the paper will be run over the course of their tenure including staffing, budgeting, and editorial direction for the paper. Depending on the platform, these positions may include a combination of full-time and part-time positions. Members may run as an editorial team or as a single candidate.

Staff Collective Directors represent the staff collective on the Board. Three people are elected for a year-long term spanning from April 2023 to April 2024.

If you are interested in running for Directorship please contact our Board President, Ethan Court at board@trentarthur.ca  or for Editorship please contact Sebastian Johnston-Lindsay at editors@trentarthur.ca. Nominations for the Board and Editorial platforms are due by April 12th, 2023 at 5:00 PM.

Editorial platforms are to be 800 words long and include a detailed description of the candidates' goals for the paper including a staffing plan and editorial direction they wish to pursue.

If your name is not on this list and you think it should be, or you want to begin writing to join the staff collective please reach out and let us know at the Editors’ email above!

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

"Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system."
