After a rejuvenating summer sabbatical in the woods, Arthur returns just in time for the school year with more of the hard-hitting community reporting you've come to expect from this small but mighty rag. In Issue 0, you'll find articles by community members about the experiences of graduate students post-graduation, the pitfalls of corporate culture, and why Bata Library isn't so aptly named. You'll also find a veritable cornucopia of book and film reviews. This issue also includes a feature article on the Peterborough Museum and Archives' newest exhibit: "To Honour and Respect: Gifts from Michi Saagiig Women to the Prince of Wales, 1860.”
Arthur is back for 2023! This month's issue contains an insert of reviews of films playing at this year's ReFrame Film Festival, coverage of local news events and City Council decisions, some hot takes on local thrift stores, and the return of treasured columns Dear David and Cinevangelism. The City of Peterborough has a Budget! Council adopted the 2024 City Budget during a meeting on December 11th which includes a property tax rate increase of 7% - down from 9.59% in the original draft budget proposed by City Staff.
