Hello, and welcome to Cinevangelism. I’m sure for some of you it’s been a while. I’ve been at this bearing down on a year now, though I don’t know if I’ve ever properly prefaced any of it. I just kind of did it.
After a brief hiatus (...is it a hiatus if you don't tell anyone?) Cinevangelism returns with an instalment released during the month of August which miraculously avoids mentioning cicadas or Neon Genesis Evangelion! Through her trademark meandering narration Evangeline collates several summers' worth of accrued memory and reflects on fast food, friendship, and personal growth.
LET'S BREAK THE WORD COUNT AGAIN! It's that bloody time of the month once more—none other than Evangeline's latest monstrous film column creation. This month our pure heroine expounds about the hallowed genre of horror, and just how exactly it made her a homosexual. But if you want to find out, you're going to have to click on it!
After Arthur's Summer Staycation, we're back and better than ever. With co-editors Abbigale and Evan steering this beloved ship, goddess only knows what they'll get up to! As Volume 59's debut to the wonderful world of campus media, we've packed it full of hot takes, breaking news, a tour around Trent's Symons rather inaccessible campus, and fun and games for all, we have something for everyone in here. But don't take our word for it, see for yourself! Plus, the editors make a new grand introduction to the newly formed duo, and a beginner's guide to all things Arthur and Trent.
Arthur is back for round two with Issue 1. In this issue you'll find interviews with Stephen Stohn and the proprietors of Peterborough's newest independent bookstore, Take Cover Books. Get the latest on City Council's strategy on homelessness and reports from the ground of local protests. We're also happy to introduce a new column with "Gator Goes Global" and the return of fan favourite "Cinevangelism."
